Genius Hour Reflection! 2
So far in my genius hour I have started to improve my wrist shot. I still have to choose which stick I am going to use. Right now my wrist shot isn’t as accurate as I would like it to be my shots are going to high every time I try to “roof it” (Top shelf). I thought that this would be a great way to improve my shot since I’m already playing hockey with my friends or at Central City. The way I’m going to get my shot more accurate is practice aiming my shot, if it’s a bit off then it’s fine because I can slowly get it exactly where I want to on the net. My stick handling and dangling skills have gotten better than before and now I can shoot on the net low not high. Before doing this project my shot would've always gone wide off the net.
Some new ideas I have gained by doing how to take a proper wrist shot as my topic are that hold the stick higher than the middle of the stick, holding it from too low your shots won’t be accurate enough. Also the shots will go flying every where. Some new concepts I've learnt are that you should have more weight on your left leg (for me) because I'm left handed and if your right handed that it would be your right leg that u let more weight be on. This helps with the accuracy of your shot.
